Between visual storytelling and architectural method
Beyond my freelance work as a visual designer and architect, I co-founded SAAP Architecture with Géraud Pizon — a collective studio where we explore grounded, rigorous, and reality-based forms of architecture.
We operate mainly through public competitions, research-driven studies, and urban-scale interventions. Our projects often emerge in complex, constrained or transitional contexts, where architecture must reconcile precision and imagination.
Architecture as narrative and negotiation
At SAAP, we work across scales — from adaptive housing to territorial infrastructures — using design as a tool to decode, reveal and transform complex contexts.
Our approach blends climate strategy, construction realism and narrative clarity. Whether designing a rural prototype or envisioning large-scale urban transitions, we aim to build architecture that is both grounded and projective.
HOF (House of the Future) embodies this mindset: praised for its coherence and feasibility, the project proposes a sustainable, modular and culturally rooted housing model for the Emirates.
Beyond typologies or programs, what drives us is a desire to shape places that respond, connect and endure.
The Studio
SAAP was founded in 2023 by Aodren Antien and Géraud Pizon, two architects with complementary paths and a shared commitment to designing with care, rigor, and adaptability.
Together, we develop projects that are:
- rooted in place,
- responsive to use,
- and engaged in pragmatic transformation.
